    What WAS the issue here ? Some hardware (drives) die or some software get all discombobulated ?



    I just had to do a complete reinstall of my machine because of office 2007 SP2 update. All office programs (like word and outlook) were rendered useless. I have a feeling they're going to be updating that update. I did error reporting and repair diags with MS all day yesterday.. and wasted my time. Hopefully THEY were able to get some good info from it and put it to use.

    I'm well aware. That's why I'm a low level IT ... something or other. I'm IT something or other enough to hate computers with a passion ... ready to go live with the Amish people

    Things will be moved to a new server since there has been a hold up with the chassis needed for the 4 hard drive setup I am moving the site to. Basically, db on one RAID set-up and everything else on another. The new server will be faster and have more RAM. It should hopefully happen soon here. I will of course keep you posted.
