I realized a lot recently joined members don't post anything at all. That's odd.

Maybe they are just being shy. Perhaps we should have a pizza party.

    Hi,

You asked in another forum, where I do come from. "I'm proud tp be a Kraut, but it's higher to be a "Bayer"". I'm a "Pfälzer" too - "Oberpfälzer". Astonishing, isn't it? But in former times the "Oberpfalz" in Bavaria was a political unit with another Pfalz - I think it was somewhere in "Rheinland-Pfalz".
But Regensburg (Roman: castra Regina; celtic: Radaspona) on the Danubia is the place where bavaria is born.
The "best" Bavarian is not Goethe and is not Marx or Luther ... it's Mr. Kaspar Brandner - or as we say: Brandner, Kaspar. He made the death drunken and played cards with him - the death lost and Brandner Kaspar could not dy anymore. But the death used a trick: He showed him the Paradise - and as Brandner Kaspar saw, that everything in Paradise is like in Bavaria - he decided to go to the Paradise. So he died - and became an immortal bavarian.

About arrogance, you asked for: I don't have problems with arrogant people. I'm bavarian - how should I?

    Best wishes

Actually, my dear Gizzey, it is 6-7. Central and South America are also part of the "Americas" and are "American".

Just thought back to this- central and South America are part of the Americas Yes!! but the are not 'American'
'American' is the United States of America or North America.
I don't think Brazilians would like to be classed 'American'

I don't think Mexicans or Canadians would call themselves American either, but it doesn't mean they aren't. It is a term folks of the U.S. took to represent themselves because we feel that we are--for all practical purposes--the Americas and the American. Yes, going right back to the arrogance of the U.S. ...but being arrogant about something doesn't make it so.
