As a consequence of that swift, decisive, and sometimes difficult period, we were able to take an economy that was shrinking by about 6 percent and create an economy that is now growing, and has grown steadily now over many consecutive quarters. Over the last 15 months we’ve created over 2.1 million private sector jobs. (Laughter.) We have an auto industry that, for the first time in a very long time is profitable, and the Big Three automakers actually gaining market share, and not only gaining market share, but also gaining market share in the cars of the future so that they’re actually competing in compact cars and sub-compact cars and electric cars and hybrids.

Obama and his economic team of advisors perhaps should get some credit for you still having your own job, if you have it. If the losses had continued at a high rate once he came into office, THEN we would have alot to bitch about and loudly. He isn't gaining much, but the good thing is, under his time so far, we are not still contracting as prior. Now, if you don't like the man, you can find plenty to bitch about with this, but hell, for those, there is no achievement that would ever be acknowledged by this group. Which to this old country boy makes 'em little liars, basically. And just like our politicians.

For the record, given the economic system that banking and business slobbered over post WW2, and the one they finally, finally achieved, neither a Pub or a Dem in the W.H. is gonna be able to affect much of anything in this experimental corporate globalization venture we are on. You might be able to manage a small pasture(like the US) but these days the entire trading world has to be managed, and that is impossible. So, you allow the free market to do what it tends to do, it creates a great disparity in wealth. It does this because of the human element, that age old foible we call greed. If you don't try to keep a handle on greed, it will always create two classes, the rich and the poor. Been that way since we kept recorded history.

If a Republican President had this same record after 2 and a half years, we'd never hear the end of it from conservatives, since the achievements over the last 30 months are things that Nixon, Ford or Reagan would have lauded, but today's Republican party isn't like that of yesteryear. You know, the one where under Reagan where they signed that sweeping amnesty bill or expanded Medicare or Social Security.

That is the part that flabbergasts me. Lincoln, TR Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan. and GHW Bush could never be nominated in today's Republican Party. Hell, I doubt GW Bush could get nominated in today's Republican Party.

Today's Republican Party is a very long ways from the Republican Party that nominated John McCain.

Meh, I think you are reaching. Sure the Palin's and Bachman's of the world represent an anti-intellectualism that I find nauseating, but the gop is starting to get real when it comes to the high cost of the military industrial complex. Ron Paul won the recent straw poll and I think he's about as traditional of a republican as one can get.

Well when you are right you are right.

Much of my wealth building these past 3 years has been a direct result of Obama and his economic team of advisers. (I have said this before)

People are so scared and generally upset about things that this drives them right into the arms of two of my best clients. Theses clients are growing off of this lack of money... and a lack of willingness to spend it, and I profit very well from it.

But hey I'm willing to give it all up to get him out of office so we can get the economy moving once again...

They are going to nominate Romney who is more liberal a RINO then McCain.

They are morons.. The only time the Republicans win is when they nominate someone who is AT LEAST somewhat conservative. When they put up Rino's they get trounced..

If Republicans want to WIN in November of 2012 they best Nominate a strong conservative with a history of doing the job.

Pawlenty is the only one I think has a chance right now, but I would LOVE LOVE to see Bachman vs Obama. The debates would be awesome!

She wont win, because we have more sexists in America then we have Racists, but damn that would be a good show. Women do not seem to support other women for elected office.. its wierd..
