I notice a lot of negative posts regarding Obama here from the supremely petty (OMG he uses a TELEPROMPTER!) to the sublime (Obama didn't actually order the killing of OBL/it was all Bush's doing/how dare we conduct a military operation on an allies soil). So I would like to hear from Obama's major detractors (hi Oreo) if there are three things that Obama has done that you can actually agree with.
A president makes 100s of decisions, they can't ALL be wrong.
I would challenge my more liberal friends to this exercise when Bush was president, because the knee jerk reactionary "I am against everything the other guy is for" does lead to some pretty pretzel logic.
Of course sometimes the exrecise does not turn out so good.
I listed Bush going into Afghanistan as my first IIRC (though I stand by that)
I remember Hannity trying to damn with faint praise Clinton for getting out of the way when republicans took over congress in 94 when it came to the economy, only to blame Clinton for the downturn in the economy at the end of his term.
Anywho, curious to hear your thoughts.

That playing golf is entertaining.
Struggling to find two more here.
A is A

1) He was right to continue Bush's strategy on the war on terror.
2) I agree with him being on vacation.
3) Good job extending the Bush-era tax rates.
Can't think of any.
1) He was right to continue Bush's strategy in Iraq and making no changes in that policy.
2) Payroll tax cut was nice
3) Good job extending the Bush-era tax rates.

I don't know that I qualify as a detractor, but I can name two:
1.) Continuing indefinite detention policy for captured enemy combatants; and
2.) Continuing/stepping up seek and destroy missions targeting al Qaeda.

I can't really list three things, but let me just say that he gets a solid B+ on his foreign policy from me.
You know...i thought about this long and hard and as i'm not a detractor of the President (in the literal sense) and not a partisan who attempts to undermine him at every go or anything of the sort i am about as ideologically opposed to him as can be. Whilst there are tiny things here and there that he has done that i could refference to, he has done one thing that even the most far right hawkish leaders, we've ever had could do: he has set the precedent for a war of intervention. Republicans will thank their lucky stars to their dying days for the next century for this (but sadly will likely never have the courage to admit as much imo) but Obama has given the groundwork to just about any President going forward, that military use, for whatever reason, whenever, without any other approval is permitted - against just about anyone. He has (without even trying) truly brought back the power to the executive that always belonged to the President and WH/DoD before the WPA and Watergate scandal.
But its even more than that...he truly did practise what he preached and rather than prop up one of our own, he truly did call for the puster of a dictator, in Egypt and soon enough Syria as well. Whilst i was as opposed as could be to Mubarrak being treated the way he was and the concern of what comes next, Obama has truly walked in the light of George W Bush and continued the legacy and understanding that the one goal of every President overseas should be end the tyranny and opression that every man woman and child faces, and continue to the be the messenger for the gift that is endowed by our creator: to live in freedom.
As we've seen Democratic revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, now Libya and soon to be elsewhere, this President has not only given us the precedent of intervention and a war without question but has also continued the theme that Democracies do not war with each other ; and rather than prop up dictators in the ME, we will soon likely have puppet democracies to work with, all over the region.

I agree with Obama on Health Care reform. Mainly because I have a pre-existing condition. But also because it addresses issues like high health care costs are the result of shortage of health care professionals.
He got Osama bin Laden, which IMO is one of the greater psychological victories for America the nation in a long time.
He has restored America's image in the eyes of other people around the world given how poorly Bush was perceived.
He seems to have a better grasp of the Middle East and how to effectively communicate with the regular people there to diffuse tension between the West and the Mid East. Instead of antagonizing and polarizing them thus forcing them to support the extremists and terrorists side.
He position on Israel is more grounded. Which is a refreshing change from the usual unconditional support coming out of Washington for Israel.
He actually does reach across the aisle to work with Republicans, though they don't seem to acknowledge it.
Hmm that's 6.
I voted for Obama. And will probably do it again.
You do realize most polls shows people hate us more around teh world today then when bush was president right?
