Hoffa like his father is a trash, the only difference is his father was not trash his whole life. In the beginning he was sincere in his fight to help his fellow drivers. the young Hoffa though is nothing, has never been anything and will never be anything but a piece of shit who never worked fa real job in his life.. wait.. hrmm no wonder him and Obama are buddies..

Unlike the right wing nut who shot Gabrielle Gifford in Arizona. (Oh, but wait, he's a radical. not really a true rightist)

Here, take a look at the New Republican Party in America. Read about them too.

As far as Hatch Act Violations I don't think they require that all political rallies by incumbents vet all the the speeches yet; though no doubt conservatives will be working on it if you win and decide it's not yet time to go directly to the death squads
I don't know what you're reading about but if we are going to be forced to put a label on Gifford's shooter then it would be radical left, not right.

    ahoy Good1,

    agreed matey, absolutely.

whilst i'd support Mr. Hoffa's constitutional right to espouse such rhetoric, personally i find it inappropriate.

When the East Indiaman tells you to avast and prepare to be boarded d'ye reply by piping them aboard or opening the hatches on the 24 pounders? The pubs in this Congress have shown Cap'n Obama naught but the Black Flag from the beginning. I think his major mistake throughout has been this mealy mouthed "let's be bipartisan friends for everyone's good" bullshit. The Republicans couldn't give a Flying Fandango what's good for the country, as every year since 2000 has illustated ever more clearly. They want what's good for their corporate masters and/or themselves, fuck the rest of us.

Maybe you can explain to me why anyone would vote for bad legislation? That's an easy question. So have at it.

As for not giving a Flying Fandango what's good for the country, you liberals shoved down the American peoples throat Obamacare that is so well liked 30 states are suing to kill it. And it's common practice to give wavers to not have to apply, even in SF, Pelosi's home town.

Last I will leave you with this, the mid-terms showed you the American people do not agree with Obama's failed policies. And why should they, yet you stand by Obama while 70% of Americans think we're on the wrong path.

The thing that upsets me truly about this story is that Obama was campaigning at the tax payers expense. I hated it when Bush was doing it, and I hate it when Obama does it.
I dislike crude rhetoric and hyperbole. There has been a lot of that going on from both sides, and I wish these pols would grow up a bit. But honestly that pales in comparison to campaiging on our dime IMO.
This being said, I will not condone Hoffa's salty language in the least bit, but I can not keep myself from noticing that the party that had rediscovered "the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants" quote not so long ago has now all of a suden turned into the squeamish party of Helen Lovejoy (form the Simpsons) "think of the chiiiildren".
I can not help but think that there is an attempt to make political hay out of what is perceived to be a poitical liability. In the same way that some on the left were trying, incorrectly, to pin the Gifford attack on the tea party and the violence that allegedly filled their hearts, I think this is an attempt to score some political points. And this is a top on down (or is it bottom up?) political calculation as this has been a very popular subject of conversation here. Pretty much any comment south of "shucks" by the left is picked up on the right and posted here with 3 to 5 pages about the thugish, violent nature of Obama and his cult. While of course just three weeks ago Senator Coburn (R) was quoted as saying that it was a good thing he didn't have his gun with him on the senate floor (notice not a peep from the left on these boards about it. I guess we're not playing the victim card right now. Probably saving it for later...)
In conclusion, while I will not condone Hoffa (or Watters') words, I think that the right needs to stop feigning that they now feel unsafe and are boarding up their houses against the big bad democrats. Or if they seriously feel this way, they really really need to man up (or as Coburn's apology for his language went "get over it").
Lastly, while we're all throwing stones at these mean mean politicians and their mean mean words, it seems to me pretty obvious that they are trying to appeal to our baser side, and we have given them so much proof that we have that in spades. Just look at this board which is supposed to be a place to debate ideas, I would say that well less than half the conservative posters here use Obama's name when discussing his policies most prefering some negative word play, that the words dumocrat and republitard though not found in the dictionary are used ad nauseum, and that debate turns rancorous pretty darn fast. So let's not act shocked that the polls are reflecting what they think we want to hear.
I, for one would like to see the behaviour that you folks are condemning eradicated as well. Why not start on these boards? Next time you think of starting a post with "president Dumshit should reconsider X policy..." or "teabagging idiots think that..." ask yourself if you would go apeshit if the opposition's politician of choice expressed himself that way.
When I am debating with people, the idea is to try to win them over to my way of seeing. This seldom happens of course when discussing politics, but I find that my chances of success are seriously diminished when I start calling the other parties heroes dimwitts and shitforbrains when their are much more elegant ways of getting the point across that they are indeed dimwitts and shitforbrains....

I guess you haven't been paying attention have you?

Conservatives hate big government, hate government intrusion into their lives, and want as little government as is feasible.

Liberals want big government, want government control over every aspect of our lives.

If we have Imperial America, it will be by the hands of those you champion, no one else.

Well, let's be clear about a few things.

First it is not "Big Government" conservatives hate, that is a shorthand for opposing government that at any given moment is overreaching in terms of its legitimate role, either in absolute terms, or in modern experience in terms of federalization of policies that constitution and sensibly are better left to the states.

Liberals, on the other hand do want more and more control.
