Theres nothing actually posted on the websites yet, so we dont know if what he showed was actually a bill, or just his plan and the unions have to write it into language first. But he says he has a bill, so we'll see what happens.
No games, blah blah blah. Congress cant play politics and wait 14 months, yada yada. I wonder how that constantly attacking people is working out for him when hes asking for favors?"This is the bill that Congress needs to pass. ... No games, no politics, no delays."

There should be a link to the actual text shortly. The devil's in the details, and all that.
Thats what they posted last week. I want to see the bill itself, not what he says it will do. We know better than to pass bills without reading them.

Last summery that I caught on the TV came from the administration budget director Lee, who pretty much said that a number of 'revenue' enhancing actions were being asked for to pay for the jobs bill.
So what I got was that Obama was re-presenting little more than what he had done in the past, taxing the better off to give to the less well off, transfer of wealth and all that.
So I conclude, nothing new here, with the exception that he's drawing a line in the sand again, for the Republicans to vote down at their peril, in the eyes of the electorate. How is this little more than "politics as usual"?
Given the changed post-election legislative landscape I can only hope that the administration and the congressional houses can find a way to work together, finding the right compromises to do the people's business, while keeping the people's best interests at heart, and may civility return to the public discourse. We, as a nation, certainly need all of these things.
Yeah, well that's a lost cause now for sure.
Yeah no surprises there.
