Remarks by the President on the American Jobs Act in Raleigh, North Carolina | The White House
Another day, another speech where he claims he isnt playing political games, and orders everyone to pass the bill (which doesnt exist yet). And for those playing at home, he said "pass this bill" 13 times.THE PRESIDENT: Give me a win? Give me a break! (Laughter and applause.) That’s exactly why folks are fed up with Washington. This isn’t about me. This isn’t about giving me a win. This isn’t about giving Democrats or Republicans a win. It’s not about positioning for the election. It’s about giving the American people a win. That’s what it’s about. (Applause.) It’s about giving small business owners and entrepreneurs a win. It’s about giving students a win. It’s about giving working families a win. It’s about giving all of us a win. I get fed up with that kind of game-playing. And we’ve been seeing it for too long. Too long. We’re in a national emergency. We’ve had -- we’ve been grappling with a crisis for three years, and instead of getting folks to rise up above partisanship in a spirit that says we’re all in this together, you got folks who are purposely dividing -- purposely -- thinking just in terms of how does this play out in terms of this election?

Actually, Obama's job bill does exist and Reid introduced it to the Senate today (Reid introduces Obama?s jobs bill in the Senate - The Hill's Floor Action).
(The text of the bill can be found here: http://thehill.com/images/stories/bl...canjobsact.pdf)
And I honestly can't figure out what is inappropriate about a president advocating for his own legislation.

I dunno. I think he is genuinely in favor of us having jobs which, yes, is consistent with his campaign strategy. Of course, people not having jobs is consistent with the Republicans' campaign strategy... which is why we can expect nothing but obstructionism from them through November 2012.

Given the changed post-election legislative landscape I can only hope that the administration and the congressional houses can find a way to work together, finding the right compromises to do the people's business, while keeping the people's best interests at heart, and may civility return to the public discourse. We, as a nation, certainly need all of these things.
Yeah, well that's a lost cause now for sure.
Really???? You truly believe this??? The son of a bitch in the White House doesn't give a rat's ass about the people or the country and he's proving it daily. When I see men in their 40's and 50's applying for minimum wage positions at dollar stores or older women working at Burger King or McDonald's as cashiers and fry cooks, I know this country is in major trouble. These jobs have typically been held by teens or college students and suddenly, older people are so desperate for jobs that they'll take anything available. And who's administration is preventing Boeing from opening a plant in S.C.???

Keep fooling yourself that it's all the Republicans fault, okay?

If you really want to be honest with yourself you will realize it is the fault of both parties. Unless of course you think everything happened since Jan. 2009 and everything was peaches and cream before that. This shit has been building for decades, thru several administrations.
And just how is a President(no matter which letter) going to force business to expand and hire?
